We get really excited during Bluegrass on the Arkansas weekend each year and we like to play host to some bluegrass music on our stage to complement what you can hear in Riverside Park. This year, we have a double-booking on Friday evening of Memorial weekend, starting off with Joe Macheret, from Ohio-based bluegrass band Joe’s Truck Stop, will get us started with a solo show. Fast picking and with a powerful voice, we are looking forward to welcoming him to our stage for the first time. He’ll then make way for one of our favorite returning bands, Blue River Grass. There isn’t much that we can say about this ultra-talented trio of musicians that we haven’t already said. This will be the sixth time this band has played on our stage and they absolutely impress every single time. They keep adding originals to their repertoire and always throw in a generous amount of covers from all different genres of music. They’ll be playing a main stage set in Riverside Park on Sunday evening, but this is your chance to see them in a much more intimate setting and rage into the later hours of the night.
