He has carved a name for himself in the touring circuit as the lead guitarist for Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and touring with his eclectic Richmond\, VA\, funk outfit\, DJ Williams Projekt. This is not a show to miss and if you’ve seen him play our taproom\, or his show at Riverside Park last summer\, you know that.

DESCRIPTION:The Mojo Birds are a Durango based six-piece electric flock of songwriters and their website describes their music as “Funky Modern Roots Music\, think The Band\, a touch of Al Green and a healthy dose of Afro-Peruvian Mojo”. We really enjoyed their show when they played at Tres Litros a few years ago. They are touring behind their debut\, self-titled album\, Mojo Birds\, released in January. Be sure not to miss this one and we think it will be worth showing up early so that you hear everything they have to offer.

Sugarbush is a Country Western and Southern Rock influenced party band and they are going to bring their high energy show to the people of Salida. This band with locals ties will be hitting our stage for the second time\, bringing their Louisiana Americana to Salida. Formerly Nola County\, Marshland began as a country music genre experiment out of New Orleans and has since grown into an unbounded\, transcendent live musical experience\, featuring an eight musician ensemble at full strength. They played an impressive show last summer and we expect more of that out of them this year. They will be joined by opening band\, The Desert Nudes\, from New Orleans\, which features a genre of music we don’t think we’ve hosted on our stage\, Cosmic Cowboy Harmonies. We’re excited to hear what that is all about\, so come out and join us one last night before returning to the real world.  \n

DESCRIPTION:We had so much with Marshland on Sunday afternoon of FIBArk weekend that we wanted to get them booked again while some of the New Orleans based musicians are still in Salida\, so we booked them again in July. This will be the third time they’ll be playing their Louisiana Americana in Salida. Formerly Nola County\, Marshland began as a country music genre experiment out of New Orleans and has since grown into an unbounded\, transcendent live musical experience\, featuring an eight musician ensemble at full strength. We’re stoked to have them on a Friday night in mid-July so that we can pack the house for them and let them entertain a bigger audience than we’ve had for their first two shows. Be ready to dance\, this band had every person in the taproom moving during their last show.
