Patsy O’Brien & Bruce Warren

The Warren-O’Brien Duo has been performing together for the last couple of years around Chaffee County and are super stoked for their duo debut at Tres Litros. Bruce Warren’s roots go back to the Arkansas Ozarks but he’s been in the west since the late 1990s. He’s a past National Champion on the hammered dulcimer, the ancient stringed instrument originally from the Middle East, where it’s known as a santur. Guitar was his first instrument, which he still plays, and in addition to writing his own songs (and music for the hammered dulcimer), he plays the music he grew up with ~ folk, bluegrass, swing and country blues.
Originally from County Cork, Ireland, Patsy O’Brien grew up with his dad’s collection of American country music and became enamored with Hank Williams, George Jones and Johnny Cash. He picked up his brother’s guitar as an early teen and has been blazing on it ever since. Patsy has traversed the globe, guitar in hand, accompanying, creating and recording with some of the giants of Irish music. Though he is revered in the Celtic music world, he has a vast interest in many genres and has amassed a repertoire to rival the once mighty Wurlitzer Jukebox. He’s a very accomplished songwriter but his bar gigs find him leaning toward classic and lesser known covers in rock, country and early jazz. He’ll have his acoustic and Stratocaster for this set–check him out, he’s a guitar whizzard! The Warren-O’Brien Duo promises a genre-hopping good time with their own unique twist.
